Grands Vins de Gironde is based on a number of specific activity centres housed in its 34,000 m² of cellars in Saint-Loubès.
The company receives bulk wine from partner châteaux. Some of these wines are taken over by Diprovin, which sells them on to French and international bottlers. The rest is blended and prepared, then bottled in the Grands Vins de Gironde cellars.
Once prepared and blended, the bulk wines are bottled and labelled on the company’s six lines. In total, these lines have the potential to fill 40,000 bottles an hour. The labelling is decided on by Grands Vins de Gironde, and there are some eight million labels in stock for 4000 references.
The cellars house approximately 10 million bottles, from all the Bordeaux appellations and all categories: small châteaux, branded wines and Grands Crus Classés.
The logistics department prepares customer orders. It supervises the loading of the lorries and containers and checks deliveries. It is able to deliver nearly 40 million bottles a year.
Wine production in the Grands Vins de Gironde cellars is certified by the IFS and BRC quality standards.
