The Bauvoyre brand comes in several Bordeaux appellations and selects the best wines from each of them. Grands Vins de Gironde created the brand to offer its foreign partners a selection of high-quality wines. These wines are the result of close collaboration between the winegrowers and our cellar-masters, the former contributing their knowledge and love of the vine, the latter their experience of vinification and maturing.

Bauvoyre Bordeaux red has a lovely brilliant, rich cherry-red colour and a pleasant, warm fresh-fruit bouquet. Full-bodied and smooth from the outset, the tannin structure is high-quality, carrying red berry and spice aromas. The harmony is extended by a pleasing finish of a good length. Serve at between 17°C and 18°C with meat that has been grilled, roasted or cooked in sauce, or cheese.

Bauvoyre Bordeaux white has a pale golden, colour and a clear citrus fruit, lychee and mango aromas. Lively and fruity, the strong body reflects all these aromas. The slight bitterness of ripe pomelo adds a refreshing touch to the tasting, which ends with a long, fruity finish. Serve it young and chilled with a seafood platter, Mediterranean prawns or grilled fish, or as an aperitif.

Bauvoyre Graves red is traditionally vinified, then part of the wine is barrel-matured to give it a dense colour. Red berry and toasted aromas, powerful, robust, well rounded and very elegant. Serve at 17-18°C with red meats and spicy dishes.

Bauvoyre Graves white has a brilliant pale yellow colour and a complex bouquet of grapefruit, lemon, roasted nuts and candied fruit. The flavours are beautifully balanced after a smooth, rich attack, and the wine leaves a pleasant impression of length and harmony. Serve at 10-12°C with fish – grilled or cooked in sauce - , white meat and poultry.

Bauvoyre Médoc has a lovely Bordeaux colour and a pleasant, warm, balsamic nose with a hint of red berries. Immediately smooth and well-rounded, good presence with fine structure and volume. Good balance, with  a spicy, cherry finish. This wine is ideal with grilled, roasted or pan-fried red meats and small game, and goes well with nearly all cheeses.

Bauvoyre Saint Emilion is a dark crimson colour with a rich, complex nose dominated by raspberries and vanilla. Fresh, robust and hearty to the taste. It matures in the bottle and should be laid down for a few years. Serve at room temperature with grilled or roasted red meats and cheeses.

Bauvoyre Sauternes is a sweet white wine produced in the Sauternes region, west of the Garonne. The harvest takes place when botrytis cinerea or “noble rot” appears on the grapes, and it is this that gives Sauternes wine its soft, sweet taste. It may be enjoyed young as an aperitif, but try it after a few years with foie gras, Roquefort or dark chocolate.
