Fleur de Luze was born with the 1983 vintage to revive the Bordeaux tradition of serving young wines from the previous year’s harvest, chilled, during summer meals. A new label is designed every year and is often the subject of competitions in art schools. The range consists of red, white, ‘clairet’ (pale red) and rosé wines.

Fleur de Luze red, in the full bloom of youth, is a delightfully intense purplish red colour. A lovely young Bordeaux nose that is the very expression of the fruit gives off cherry and spice aromas. Its fine, elegant tannins, typical of a real Bordeaux, provide good presence in the mouth. A delicious, easy-drinking wine to be served throughout a summer meal. Ideal with all barbecues, a platter of charcuterie, coal roast meats, roast or cold poultry and most cheeses.

Fleur de Luze white has a pale, crystalline colour and very clear citrus fruit, lychee and mango aromas. The body is lively, fruity and slightly beady, revealing all these aromas. Enjoy it as an aperitif or with a seafood platter, Mediterranean prawns or grilled fish.

Fleur de Luze clairet is a brilliant peony colour with crimson tints. Its pleasant nose reveals fresh red berry, cherry and crushed strawberry aromas. Easy-drinking, smooth and well-rounded from the outset, crisp and sweet, it fills the mouth with a good, fruity presence and leaves a pleasant memory.

Fleur de Luze rosé is a light shade of pale pink. Lively and very elegant, it gives off characteristic redcurrant jelly and floral aromas. The slight beadiness accentuates the freshness and gives the wine a full, hearty length. Enjoy it with all summer dishes and as an aperitif.
